So i would like to start programming iOS apps. I have programmed a bit in the past - took a Pascal class, didnt learn much, watched some beginner tutorials for C. I understand that im going to need to know Objective-C, xcode, cocoa etc. Whats the best way to start? The youtube tutorials arent very well paced, either they assume you know nothing or a lot. I also dont want to go buying programming books just yet.
Tips? Suggestions?

Just search for 'stanford iphone' on Youtube. All their lectures are online. I thought it was a great help.

Also, Beginning iPhone Development by Jeff Lamarche although i'd recommend reading an Obj-C book before all of the above mentioned steps.

That is a really good question.
