Hi all

I have just got a Mac Mini and am having a problem

I have it connected to a LCD TV using a digital to HDMI lead, The display appears and is very good quality, however the screen is either a box with a 2to3 inch gap round the edge or the menu's are off the top and sides... depending on the resolution I set it to.

Are there any othe resolution that can be set appart from the 6 os so the Mac defaults to?

or is there another way to resolve this?

My TV is a Hitachi, 32ld8700tu,

Thanks for any help

Keith

your Hitachi LCD has a 1366 x 768 resolution which a mac mini cant output natively. theres a great app which can make your Mac output a custom res but its name has escapes my mind unfortunately.

SwitchResX is one. I used it to get a custom timed (59.9xxxxx instead of 60Hz) 1920x1080 resolution out of my Mini for my TV. Works perfectly but you need a lot of info to get the resolution correct...
