:apple:I recently bought Some mac items like a mbp,I was wondering what types of programs are good for photo editing and what programs do you have that you like?

Welcome to the Mac community! You're in for a great experience with your MacBook Pro; I love mine.

For photo editing and the like, I would try Aperture, which is made by Apple. Or Adobe Lightroom. They are pretty similar in function, although I've read that Lightroom is a little more powerful.

Or you can always use plain old Photoshop.

And one of my favorite apps of all time is Delicious Library. It is a great app for organizing your movies, cds, and books. A new version is coming this month (hopefully) and should prove to be even better. Check it out here.

what else are some good starter programs?IM slowly getting into mac so I have no clue.

If you google for "top 10 mac applications", you'll get like 100 people's opinion of essential Mac applications. It's a cool way to get to know your Mac. :)
