Hi all. I'm Joe and new to Mac. Switched from PC and like it so far. Just have a question. Are general questions about operation and or how to do things allowed? Just like to ask before I get in trouble. Thanks
    Joe.

Welcome I'm sure you'll like it here. This is a great forum.

Youtube David A. Cox is useful too for Yosemite & now El Cap (I would watch both)

Which MacBook Pro do you have?

Welcome to the forum Joe. Just post up any questions you have here and we will try and help you.

Here is a pretty good page Apple has to walk you through the basics of using OS X. At the bottom there is some info on swtiching from a PC.

actually questions like those are more than accepted here.
Half of the posts (and I'm being generous) are about OCDs and ridiculous hysteria about any Apple product on this forum.
    Real questions are welcomed.

OK. Now that a bunch of kind folks said they would help, ask.
