new to mac

hey guys i am new to macs and i just picked up a mbp and i am loving it so far. my question is that it is running pretty hot and i downloaded fan control and installed it but i cant find where it has been put on my computer. thanks for your guys help.

Look in your dock, there should be a Stack called Downloads 🙂

EDIT: Sorry I didn't realize it was a Preference pane...

if you already installed it, it should be under applications i believe... unless it is one of those apps that automatically appears in system preferences. Try the system preferences if it isn't in your applications folder.

thanks for the quick response. it was put into sys preferences.
