New to MobileMe - Email syncing question.

Hi,

I recently purchased my first iphone, having previously had the blackberry curve.

When I read an email on my blackberry, it was marked as read when I checked my email via outlook (gmail and hotmail). I noticed this was not the case with my Iphone.

So I signed up for the free MobileMe trial, and I see even with MobileMe, the email still doesn't sych. Does the iphone not sych mail or am I doing something wrong?

Does it only sych me.com emails?

It will sync with any email account set up via IMAP or Exchange.

Also make sure your computer is registered with mobile me. Go under System Preferences/Mobile Me/Sync and check the email accounts along with stuff you want to sync.

Under my MobileMe preferences, in the box, I only have Contacts, Calendars and Bookmarks. No mention of email.

When I click advanced, the computer is definately registered.

I must be doing something wrong, but don't know what!
