So I just made the switch to Apple and I got the Black MacBook....I was wondering if keeping it plugged in all the time when im home will ruin the battery. This is what happened to my old windows based laptop. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

They say it is best to discharge the battery periodically, but I can tell you from practical experience that my wife's 20 month old MacBook still has the original battery, still holds a really good charge, and she uses it 90% of the time plugged in at her desk.

Keeping it plugged in is OK, but you'll want to unplug it every so often to keep those electrons moving.

Also remember to Calibrate the Battery about every month.
