Hi Guys

Just wanted to know if anyone has experienced the problem in the video, and whether they think it is hardware?

I rung a senior technician at AppleCare and they have told me to book it in as it looks like a hardware issue with the graphics card. This will be my 4th Apple with a graphics card issue, I can't believe it.

Please watch the video and let me know your thoughts and if you have experienced this issue.

Thank you

Roberto 🙂

Does that artifact ever appear on the desktop or in other applications? If yes, that seals the deal. Graphics hardware.

Haven't noticed in anything else yet but since I have bought the iMac only used FCPX, watched movies and safari.

I have reported to Apple so they know there is a problem.

Will this affect the quality of my videos when exported and rendered on various platforms?

I have never really understood what a faulty Graphics Card will affect as I can still edit videos. What will it stop me doing eventually?

So the problem is getting worse, this is an update of 3 week old iMac top spec.

Graphics cards keep failing on me but Apple can't tell me why.

I reckon its Spyder 5 hardware and software.

Heres the lastest video...
