I am currently looking for a new TV (to replace my 27" CRT) and I have come across the HITACHI UT32MH70 for £250.

Now, this looks like an amazing TV, it's incredibly thin, and just the specs seem quite good (even having an IPS panel)...however, the only inputs are........VGA and a single HDMi connector. It doesn't have a TV tuner (but what good are they these days), it doesn't have freeview, it doesn't have scart sockets...just VGA and a single HDMi.

Would it be worth going for this, even with the lack of inputs? I have V+HD and my DVD player is HDMi. However, my DVD recorder is Scart (although, I rarely use it).

Suggestions would be fab :)

Well, they are actually very good at getting television signals :)

Well considering analog signals have been cut off in my area now so I would have to use freeview (although I've got V+ HD).

Come on guys...I'm looking for genuine comments.

My suggestion would be to post this on a home theater website. In the US, the best (IMO) is the AVS Forum:

http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/

Since you're in the UK, you might want to try:

http://www.avforums.com/

Basically, you'll find some help here, but this is a computer forum, not a HT forum. A dedicated HT forum is much more likely to offer you the kind of help you're looking for.

Edit: I just did a search on AV Forums and found this thread:
