Time has come to replace a 7 year old tv with an ageing gen2 Apple TV box. But not sure 100% way to go and need some help.

I will be using the TV and soundbar for movies, games and to play music from Apple Music / my library from a Qnap drive. Also connected will be an Xbox one x.

Option 1
Purchase Samsung Q90r with a Q90 soundbar for Dolby Atmos for films. As the TV also has airplay 2 and Apple Music app.

Option 2
Samsung q90 soundbar
Apple TV (wait till newer one releases) and use this with airplay 2
Decent 4K TV

or if anyone has any other ideas.
I like the Samsung q90 soundbar due to Dolby Atmos and also the 7.4.1 setup.

Thanks

The Q90R is an excellent TV and should be on clearance now that the 2020 Q90T is out. The 2019 Q90R is supposed to have more dimming zones than the 2020 Q90T and is also supposed to be the only 2019 model to get an update with support for eARC (already supported by the 2020 Samsung TVs and sound bars). eARC provides lossless audio from the TV to your receiver or soundbar so you can hook components up directly to the TV rather than connecting a blu ray player to the receiver or soundbar first (necessary before eARC to keep lossless audio). Although standard ARC can pass Dolby Digital+ with Atmos, eARC can handle lossless Dolby TrueHD with Atmos. The 2020 Q90T supports a new feature called Qsymphony w/ the 2020 sound bars which you may want to look into since audio is important to you. There have been some early reviews so far (which have been positive) for the new 2020 TVs but prior to release the general consensus was that the 2019 models were better (i.e. the Q90T is the replacement for the Q80R). Also, the 2020 US versions are supposedly a step up from their EU counterparts (the Q80T in the US has the ultra wide viewing angle like the Q80R did, however the EU Q80T does not).
