You guys are forgetting that the :apple:tv will finally get its own App Store. This is huge!!

Is it really huge? If you want to play really horrible Wii like shovel-ware games, yes it's huge

But for the apps people will actually use like netflix, hulu, HBO... those are already on every setup box

Question..... How is the Fire TV streaming 4K when it only has a HDMI 1.4 port?

Are we sure it isn't HDMI 2.0? It supports HDCP 2.2 which is required for 4K, and I didn't think you could have both HDMI 1.4 and be HDCP 2.2 compliant.

EDIT: I see it may be HDMI 1.4. That standard still supports 4K content, just not at 60 fps.

After using Apple's TV for a few years until a month ago, I finally gave up after evaluating the cost / benefit aspect.

Already a very high volume Amazon buyer and content (Prime) consumer, I've centered my streaming action to include the Google Play offerings and Amazons terrific array of books, music, videos, tv, et al. Hulu and Netflix round out my cable cutting project, and my overall entertainment experience has never been better.

My Fixed Screens are:

75" TV: Samsung UN75JU7100
60" TV's in various rooms.

My Mobile Screens are:
15.0" MBP
13.3 MBA
12.0 MacBook
iPad Air 2
iPad mini
iPhone 6 Plus
