tvOS New tvOS breaks ability to AirPlay from Mavericks

Tried it last night and was met with a message that I need at least 10.10. That's new. (Can't update my MacBook for work reasons...)

The only way around this I found in my case (it's sloppy and non elegant and honestly it's sketchy at best) was for me to run the Air Display app on my phone and treat my iPhone as a 2nd monitor for my MacBook and then set my phone to AirPlay mirroring. Even then it had a border and obvious lag.

There is no excuse for Apple to do this outside of forcing adoption. Really sad.
