I'm going to be at an Apple store this weekend, and wonder if they'll have the new Milanese Loops in stock? Apple site says they won't be delivered until some time in October or November, so I'm thinking the answer is "no", but what's the collective here think? Do local Apple stores generally get on-hand stock of these things as well?

Yes they do but get there EARLY in line depending on the store 6:30am. You'll have to go through the iPhone line.

In my experience if a band was not available for pick up in-store the week of release day it is usually not available in-store on release day. I placed a home delivery order for an ultra Milanese loop for late October.

Sometimes they do pop up in store in a couple weeks after release day.

Good luck on the hunt!

I need to go check in person, apparently the Ultra Milanese are much heavier than traditional Milanese.

However it would be great if they are actually wider, as the regular Milanese always felt off / too thin compared to the UW case. (And the colour mismatch..)

Also, there are some replicas that popped up online for $30... given the original is outrageously priced at $200 might be worth to do a side by side comparison too...

I just went to an Apple Store and they said “they won’t get them in store until at least November”

I was in the Apple Store and no shot at all. On the website it seems there is also a huge delay.

I bought an Ultra 2 hoping to just pick up the new non-slippy Milanese in store but looks like they are not available anywhere. Super disappointing.

Garden state plaza mall store in NJ had them. I picked one up this morning for my AWU 1.... They only had the silver color.. no black.

Thanks all - it appears just ordering and waiting may be the best option! I'll keep my eyes open!

Yeah just order it but be on the lookout and if you see them pop up in stores just grab one and cancel the online order.

Is it possibile to do that for Apple Store outside US? For instance in EU?

For instance the MXKE3ZM/A, that should be the titanium Milanese loop large; the stores are the ones located in Rome (“Porta di Roma”, Euroma2 and “Via del Corso”).

I dont know how to identify them using an id or code.

Nothing showing up for both colors and all sizes:
R381 Porta di Roma
R382 Via del Corso
R562 Euroma2

I checked for some iPhone MagSafe cases that show as available today and they showed up as in stock with the script, so it should be accurate.

For those of us with hairy arms, have any of you guys that were able to get the ultra Titanium Milanese Loop, had any issues with it pulling your arm hair. I went ahead and ordered one, but would be nice to have an idea ahead of time if that will be an issue.

Here's how you can search for any product and any store from your terminal:

Code:
curl --location 'https://mobileapp.apple.com/retailapp/a/COUNTRY_CODE/rci/rciCheckForPart?partNumber=PRODUCT_CODE&storeNumber=STORE_CODE' \
--header 'Host: mobileapp.apple.com' \
--header 'User-Agent: ASA/6.1 (iPhone) ss/3.00' \
--header 'x-ma-pcmh: REL-6.1.0'

--header 'x-ma-pcmh: REL-6.1.0'

This is cool, thank you for sharing! I'm not a coder, and was wondering what value I should expect to see returned in Terminal?

All I see is {"availability":{}} whether or not something is in stock. I tried with a phone case (MYY63ZM/A) for example which is in stock for pickup today. Code I used to check the case in Chicago's Michigan Ave store (random selection):

Code:
curl --location 'https://mobileapp.apple.com/retailapp/a/US/rci/rciCheckForPart?partNumber=MYY63ZM/A&storeNumber=R035' \
--header 'Host: mobileapp.apple.com' \
--header 'User-Agent: ASA/6.1 (iPhone) ss/3.00' \
--header 'x-ma-pcmh: REL-6.1.0'

Thanks again for your help, hopefully this will let me find that elusive milanese loop in medium 🤞

how would I adapt this to work n the uk?

When I try

curl --location 'https://mobileapp.apple.com/retaila...orPart?partNumber=MXKF3ZM/A/&storeNumber=R372' \ --header 'Host: mobileapp.apple.com' \ --header 'User-Agent: ASA/6.1 (iPhone) ss/3.00' \ --header 'x-ma-pcmh: REL-6.1.0'

it just returns:
curl: (1) The redirect target URL could not be parsed: Unsupported URL scheme

curl: (3) URL rejected: Malformed input to a URL function

curl: (3) URL rejected: Malformed input to a URL function

Try uk in lowercase. The following worked for me:
https://mobileapp.apple.com/retailapp/a/uk/rci/rciCheckForPart?partNumber=MYY63ZM/A&storeNumber=R372

Returns {"availability":{"MXKF3AM/A":false}}

Just curious @mactracker - is it possible to get availability for multiple stores at a time, with one script? Or just return all the stores that have inventory, like you did in one of your previous posts? We have several stores where I live and it would be easy if one script could check multiple stores. Thanks!
