Me too

I see the post is a bit old, but glad I found it to know I wasn't just imagining things about my speakers.

Add me to list and....

Here is a link to thread on Apple discussions with same issue. Interesting app on there called tone tester that reveals quite clearly an issue with the crossover setting for the left speaker. Check it out.

Sadly there are some inflammatory posts from some self-proclaimed mac geniuses. Just disregard those and read on. There are some good posts.

this is a year old thread. please let it die for a second time. once it has let it R.I.P

Just got back from the apple store here in Indianapolis. Spoke with the geniuses there who agreed there was something with some of the MBP crossover settings with regard to the firmware. Only affects some of the units which is possibly due to different speakers being used thus being affected differently by the same crossover settings. Depending the on the media played the "right" sided predominance will be more prominent depending on the overall spectrum it's comprised of.

As for your other comments. If it does not affect you then don't read it. Your comment does not help anyone here with this issue. If I pay 2K for a laptop it better be darn near perfect. If I want less I'll go by a plastic windoz machine for 700.00 or less.

sir, you are posting in a thread that is a year old. the people that started this thread may or may not even be here anymore. this conversation had died back in october, was resurected in feb and died again. now there may be info to be had, BUT continuing to post to it is not needed. can you imagine if we all started posting to old threads just to post. the forum would be cluttered with topics that are not relevent. if you need questions answered that you can not find an answer to by searching, then make a new thread. other than that, there is no need to post just to say "i got this problem too" to a year old topic.
