Can we just take a minute to appreciate the new sound Apple Watch makes when it unlocks your Mac?
The old sound had me going crazy as it sounded like I got an email or something!

(watchOS 3.2)

Until you said this, I didn't even know the noise had been changed. Have to admit, I spend about 99% of the time with it on mute, the vibration alone is enough for a watch I believe.

Is much better, that has caught me out before and looked at my wrist thinking there was a email or text at the same I unlocked!

I have mixed feelings about the new sound. When I first heard it, I wondered if my Watch was brushing up against something, or if the haptic motor was starting to fail. That's the general feeling I have when there's ambient noise or music at even moderate volume. In a quiet environment and/or with soft music, the sound is almost like a refined unlocking or mechanical sound, and I'd agree that it sounds nice.

I guess I prefer the old one, but perhaps over time this will grow on me.

Me too.... thought I'd flooded the speaker/taptic beyond repair.
