New update breaks ability to control EarPods volume

I mean, really? Previous OS did pretty much everything perfectly and now it’s actually impossible to adjust earpod volume while in apps. What a colossal POS.

Not AirPods, but it’s working perfectly with my Powerbeats Pro.
