Quad Core CPUs, from Xeon E3 line.

They are not Xeon E5 from Broadwell/Haswell-EP lines.

i think Apple was waiting for this skylake since they didn't put broadwell

too many m's
Correction, never too many M's! :D

Xeon E3 with dual Intel iGPUs. RAM and SSD soldered onto the logic board. Smaller! Lighter! Thinner! More power efficient!

I'm calling it now.

...such a post-1995 photo. Where are the classics anymore?

I agree! Let's included Mozart, Monteverdi, Mussorgsky, Mendelssohn and Mahler. These classics can be played via iTunes or an external CD/Blue Ray when the new update for the nMP comes! Using Sibelius or Finale for music notation on the new updated nMP should be a breeze with the upgrades. I guess that kind of keeps it thread related. :p

I think he was referring to the colors of the M&Ms

I'm still happy we got red back.

At the time my Mom bought into the red dye scare. Her Red Velvet Cake still tasted great but looked rather silly in blue. (not appetizing)

There ya go!

new-new Mac Pro 2016 Skylake!

Dual GTX 980 ti SLI (x8) too! Who cares about speed of D700 when nothing makes use of it?

But for "the rest of us" cable management means that the cables don't impede the airflow or hit the fan blades.

"Pretty when the cover is off" is not high on the list.

Some care what it looks like on the inside too. That person cared enough to dye his coolant so he'll probably manage his cables too. That case while cool looks like it has no real place to hide them.

Based on Intel, we can expect updates for Mac pro?

Has little to do with the Mac Pro right now.

Longer term the separation of the Xeon E3 from the mainstream Core i processors (i.e., the non "High End"/ "Extreme" Core i7's ) by chipset may also come to the Skylake implementations of the Core i7 79xx and E5 1600 v5.
Definitely a split coming with the E5 2600 v5 line up. They may segment the single socket also with different chipsets and targeted board designs (e.g., workstation fewer USB/SATA lanes and more general PCI-e ones without the overhead of "selected" modes for those pins. )

May get chipsets with better match to what Mac Pro is currently trying to do. (e.g., limited to no internal SATA ).

Wow that case is hostile to cable management.
Temp Setup; Just finished filling water and had a temp probes all around;
In any event this machine was assembled in place of my cMP 5.1 which passed away just recently. 6700k + 2x980ti + Win 10 = Kinda like it even though use it for gaming!

Have my nMP standing right next to it, and I am not really sure if

This is a construction photo :)

Most cables are fan connection. Still looking for a good fan controller. Once its done, everything goes to the lower compartment;

In the mean time, i'am thinking that if one makes water blocks for current nMP (GPUs only) with in/outlets on a side that could very well give extra juice under boot camp as temps are highly limiting factor presently

I am good with limited SATA as long as "the only one" is 5TB, not to exceed price of Glock 19; For the record;

It's an awesome case, take some pics when it's done.

Not Happening Soon,
Still waiting for parts, new PSU

In the meant time, as it relates to Mac Pro, I am not sure how updated MP will fit my workspace.
It seems that white thing, is where updated MP was supposed to be. If new, Skylake like Xeon based nMP to be released, in the same form factor as current MP, I am not sure if I want it.

Could it be that they choose to skip Skylake?

Dangerous thing (for apple) is that Win 10 seems to be pretty good, and is an open platform (compared to OS X); I did manage to pick up adware during first hours of using it but hay ... 10 years on Mac/Linux for me; If it turns out to be good, then one may drop Apple stuff all together (laptops, iPads, desktops, work stations, e.t.c.)

And I personally feel cheated with Dual GPU in current nMP ...
