I thought about the Executive, but I like the more patterned back of the Field Case better. Hey, that's the great thing about these cases...you only have to drop $10 to try it out...lol.

I actually bought 2 myself straight from Magpul, since the shipping was the same whether I got 1 or 2. I got the OD Green and Foliage. I like the OD Green, but I LOVE the Foliage. It's just a nice color that really looks different from any other case out there. I guess you could say the same about the OD Green, too. Heck, I'm even thinking about picking up a black and orange one, just for some variety...lol. (As if I don't have enough of that in the cases I already own!!!) :D

You really can't go wrong for $10. I understand your hesitation, but it seriously is a great case. And heck, if you got it and decided you didn't like it, I'm sure you could easily sell it here in the Marketplace.

Kentucky - my hesitation is regarding whether it will mess up my side protectors. I had the executive field case for my iPhone 4 and liked it a lot (no side protectors on my 4).

I don't understand why ..... I've had a Speck Pixelskin HD on for 16 months with nothing like that?
 
Just ordered an Field Case in Foliage and an Executive Field Case in Orange.

I had an original Executive in black that I got for free when they first came out and really liked it....but moved on......in a case whore that I am kinda way. :D

Received my Magpul Field Case today. I ordered the foliage color and it looks pretty good on the white iPhone 4s. I have the black version ordered too and it should be here Friday. I have no complaints at all with this case. After all the cases I have purchased, this one is now my favorite. Had no problem with the case and my luckylabs wrap. I don't use a screen protector, but for those who do, you will have no problems with this case.

I would say they offer fairly good drop protection. As good as the Otterbox Commuter? No. But from a normal drop (waist height or so) onto a hard surface, I think they'd protect the phone fairly well.

Of course, I haven't actually DROPPED mine since I put the case on...lol. So I can't say for sure. :cool:

Thanks for the pics. Foliage looks like the perfect shade of gray to compliment the white iPhone. I wonder how the fit compares to the Incipio NGP? I wish Magpul would clearly indicate on their site what color is what.

I have the NGP and this blows it out of the water. I found the NGP to flimsy around the edges. This is much stiffer and doesn't sit on top of the screen like the NGP. It sits on top of the stainless steel antenna band, but still has enough lip for lay on the table.

As far as the fit compared to the NGP (which I also have), this one is much more form-fitting, meaning it's tighter and keeps the profile of the case+phone much smaller. Not that the NGP makes the phone big...but it's definitely thicker than the Field Case or Executive.

Got my FDE field case in today, LOVE it. the feel is great. And magpul as a company is a class act, they are active on some of the forums I am on and have always been great to their customers.

And i got mine for $11.80 shipped from Amazon.
 
Found one in a gun shop yesterday, for $10, took a shot. :)

So far I like it. The only thing I feel is the polymer gets a little slippery if my hands are even just slightly sweaty. But again, it's a good case for $10.

I love the incase sliders but I can't use a screen protector with them. The magpul doesn't hurt my protector at all.

These guys sure do make a mean AR mag though. :)

A keeper

I have always been looking for the right balance between protection and slim form factor in a case.
I had:
- Incipio DRX,
- Incipio NGP,
- Proofcase Duo,
- Goballistic SG,
- Otterbox Defender,
- Otterbox Reflex,
- Otterbox Commuter,
- Lifeproof v2,
- Cygnett Workmate Pro,
- Griffin Protector and maybe more that I forgot ...

Out of all of them, the Reflex was my favorite except for the fact that it would bubble any screenshield I tried.
The other ones were:
- not protective enough,
- ling magnet,
- hard to get out of pocket,
- screen unresponsive (Lifeproof),
- not enough lay on the table design,
- sagging bottom lip,
- too big for daily use ...

I have used the Magpul Field case for two days now and I am totally satisfied with the fit, finish, and texture of the case. Price of course is a big plus as well.
I should receive an Element case Ion 4 in the next few days. I will see which one I prefer then. But for 10USD, the Magpul is a no brainer as the Ion, which may be a disappointment, has cost me 44USD with lots of discounts (shipping is 12USD!!!!).
 
Love Magpul as Well

I have the Executive Field case...I really like it. such great grip and so minimal but protective feeling. I also have the Element Ion 4...I do like it..fits really well...very high quality...BUT...i have not tried it with a screen protector though....i would love to hear your thoughts when you try it..
 
I own both of them and the Ion4 is, to me, far better looking, and unquestionably, more protective. However, there is a relatively significant price difference.

Kentucky, please post some pics of the foliage on the black phone...thinking of scooping a few of these up for the winter season (which isn't really winter here in N. FL :D)

Anyone have the orange case?
