The new Air is listed as having a P3 screen... so is this a new updated screen for the AS Air?

I don’t recall the Intel Airs having P3 listed in the spec, and I always though that was the distinction between the Pro and Air was the P3 and of course the higher brightness which is still a thing.

I looked up the Intel Refurb store Air specs and it just has them as Retina.

The Pro is 500 nits, while the Air is still 400 nits. It’s the same old screen probably. Should be fine.

I bought an Air, and if there’s an issue I’ll just return it. I’m pretty easy though. I’ve found that things that you may notice right off disappear after a short while (from noticing it, that is). Just the way the mind works.

Either that, or you obsess and they magnify (just the way the mind works) LOL

The presentation mentioned being upgraded to p3 so the only other difference is the brightness

Unless the lack of P3 with earlier MBAs simply was a software switch usually a wider colour gamut does mean a new display at least in parts (backlighting design, LED source, etc.).

Very unclear whether Apple now uses the exact same design between the MBA and MBP and simply limits the max brightness to 400 nits by software or if there are still remaining differences in the hardware. Also still very unclear about sample variation.
