Hi, just got new M1 mini plain Jane model. So I plug it all in and I get this colorful screen with a drawing of a mac on it then it changes to one with a mouse outline on it, back and forth.

I can see a mouse pointer top left of the screen but I can't move it. I have a new BT mouse that I'm trying to get it to pair but not happening. It has 3 settings and 2 are BT I think so I turn it on and off and jiggle it around. So I need to buy a wired usb C mouse? to set it up?

Or other ideas?

Thanks

You have USB-A USB ports, in addition to USB-C, so an ordinary wired mouse will be fine.
Maybe you could borrow a USB wired mouse, just to get the wireless/bluetooth going.
But, it's a good idea to have a USB mouse as an alternate, just in case your wireless mouse decides to not connnet.

Ok, Just a mild panic attack!

I had tried a wired mouse but couldn't plug it in and I just thought USB-C deal but after you said that I looked and it was just really tight and had to be jiggled on so I got it.

First crisis over, all down hill from here...

Thanks
