So here's the deal. I ordered an iPhone X through Apple.com on the third but sadly the site never loaded until after around 9:10pm causing me to have a delivery date of 11/17 to 11/24. Now since that time after reading a bit here on the forum it seems as if the Verizon model iPhone X has Qualcomm and is also an unlocked model which is what I would prefer. This being said I purchased through Apple's site using my upgrade through AT&T and now having found out that the Verizon model is what will suit my wishes with it having Qualcomm and also being unlocked I decided to open a new Verizon line of service and ordered the iPhone through Verizon's site.
My plan is to sell the AT&T device to fully pay off the Verizon phone and cancel the line of service and just keep the phone. Now here's my concern, through out my time placing my order on Verizon's website it kept changing / manipulating my address that I entered. Like for example I would put **11-1111 Street name Unit XX** then it would change things around a bit to something along the lines of (11-111 1 Street name APT XX). Now I am alomost certain that I was able to get the billing corrected and make it stick but after the order was submitted it automatically changed the shipping address to the one that was manipulated / altered.
Any how my question after reading some of the horror stories here regarding the address fiasco with Verizon while ordering an iPhone X is if I should leave my order as is or call Verizon to make the minor corrections to my address. Also how do you think things will go with me paying off the device and cancelling the line of service and keeping the phone? Will the phone be bricked or marked in a system not allowing me to use it with my AT&T service? And last but not least I know when my AT&T phone shows up I'll wanna open it and keep it and then will think about cancelling my Verizon order.
Oh and then there's the lawsuit going on with Apple and Qualcomm in which I feel that even if I didn't get the Verizon model it won't mean anything given that AT&T can unlock my phone and that depending which way the lawsuit goes that every future iPhone will have Intel in them instead of Qualcomm.
Please let me know your thoughts on things and your opinions in what I should do while I still have the time. Oh yeah and just so everyone knows I am no where near an Apple store, nor a single wireless carrier that has the iPhone X instock.
