Does anyone know if there is a new version of Final Cut Studio coming out with Snow Leopard? I tried to purchase a new book on Peachpit.com and all the Apple Pro Training Series books seem to have vanished from the order pages. This leads me to believe a new version of the software and training books will be in our future.

    Any Thoughts or info?

    I Found Them

Never mind the previous post, I found the books and ordered the Motion 3 book, although we can still hope for an update.

I believe its coming at some point next year.

They usually update it every 2 years, last update was the NAB event, April 07 (although they have pulled out of NAB now).

A 2-year update cycle is a safe bet. Frankly though, the current software is pretty nice from what I've seen. If only the academic version were cheaper....

They will want to compete with Adobe CS4.

The integration of After Effects and Premier Pro is brilliant. Shame I still prefer FCS though.
