Where?

yellow tint screens are not cause by glue

Sure was. It happened with some of the phones during the release. After a few days of use it went away.

There was even an article on either Gizmodo or Engadget where a guy who sells the glue used to companies explained it.

Now after a few days if the screen is still yellow then the OP needs to exchange it.

You're sadly mistaken, yellow screens are defective LCD displays.

it was know to cause yellow spots and lines but the entire screen? I don't think so

I had the same issue with my ATT iphone 4 a few months ago. if you look at a white background screen (calendar for example), the whole screen looks yellowish.

it is a warm color factory setting that you can't change. Nothing to do with glue. my first Dell XPS 15 has this yellowish/reddish screen, which I can adjust using window color alignment.

Don't take it to apple store to change it. I did and it was a mess. first they give you a non-retail (possible refurb) black-box replacement. I tried 3 phones and they were worse, compared to 6 demo phones on the table. Apple don't let me try more phones. I was very upset walking out of apple store with a yellowish screen.

if you can bring it to Verizon and see if they can exchange for a brand new one. I did threaten to cancel ATT acct, they finally give me a retail-box one. fortunately, it was a good one, white screen looks white.

or return it and wait for Bestbuy. you can return to Bestbuy and exchange for a retail-box one if you don't like it.

Theres always confusion with this.

White screen with some yellow blotches = glue drying

Screen completely yellow tint = defective

It's funny to see people insisting its always the glue, when the yellow blotch glue issue represents about .01% of yellow screen cases. Yes, I'm saying 99.99% of yellow screen iPhones are not glue related. I say this because the yellow screen has plagued the 3G, the 3GS, the iPhone4, and now the iPhone4 on Verizon. The yellow splotches affected a few iPhone4s last June, and that was it.

My 1st AT&T iPhone 4 had a nice bright bluish screen and when I got it replaced the new one had a yellowish tint. I think it's easier on the eyes to look at with higher brightness.

WOW just read all the posts...

To clarify. I do NOT have blotches, The entire screen has a yellow tint compared to my AT&T iPhone.

My uncle just got his Verizon one today which also shipped from the same location as mine. I will compare mine to his and see what it looks like.

I am going to wait a week anyway, then go to apple and see what they say.

But from experience with the apple store I go to, they are very willing to swap out the device so either way I'm not worried.

Nothing will change in one week. If you do not like the warmer (yellow) screen then go to apple and change it. If you are fine with it (i would hate it) then keep it. It will not go away, it's just how it was made.

My Verizon iPhone also has the same issue. Screen is yellow/cream tinted. It is very apparent when sitting next to my 3G iPod Touch which has white whites. Other than the whites, the screen looks pretty awesome but maybe I should hit up the Apple store and compare to the display models.

Bought mine yesterday and it has a yellow tint too. Definitely noticable compared to my AT&T iphone. Made an appointment at the Apple store and hopefully they can replace it.

Btw, the yellow tint is nothing like the glue pics that was posted.

i have the same issue. I'm looking at my att iphone 4 and verizon iphone 4 side by side, definitely a yellow (warmer) hue with the verizon iphone 4, its especially noticeable at lower brightness levels. too bad there's no apple store within 100 miles. might try the verizon retail store i got it at. but ehhhh...is it worth the hassle? i haven't come to a conclusion yet.

i bought two(verizon), and they both had yellow screens compared to the AT&T iphones on display... i returned them and got 2 AT&T iphones,, which had the same problems.. lol
