Glad to tell you it's not. it's way more silent than the original 250GB Hitachi that came with my 13" MBP. And of course it is no comparison with the Seagate Momentus 7200.4 500GB i had in my MacBook before.
funny to see that my new drive even outperforms that ol' seagate as well. I performed xBench at 290GB data load on disk! These 4k sectors beat the hell out of the old 512b sectors!
