Any chance of Microsoft releasing a redesigned xbox one console anytime soon?

No info regarding a new model has been leaked so far, but you never know.

I have not seen any leaks/rumors.... but we are now two years in with this model, so based on the previous 360 cycle I would guess we are due for a redesign that is smaller, lighter, cooler sometime soon.

Just a guess, but with the big OS update coming on Nov. 12, I would think they would want to wait for that to settle in before new hardware is released.

It is usually around summer time when they launch redesigns. According to Wikipedia, the 360 S and E models were released mid-June. I'd wager mid-June of next year.

The huge ass thing definitely needs a redesign. They need to take a hint from Sony.

The new PS4 model came out of nowhere, but I don't think we'll get a new one before or during the Christmas season.

Usually first redesigns are internal only like the new PS4 version.

Major redesign maybe Holiday 2016 when the retail price becomes $299.

OK. Thank you. I think I would like to buy one with Rise of the Tomb Raider and Battlefront coming out. Not sure if I can justify the price for only two games so far. But I love TR games and Battlefront, as long as I can do some flying around and shooting in a xwing or other vehicle, looks like a buy, too.

They have the Elite that has been recently released but same design , Love the idea of the hybrid tho

I'd bed on an S model announced at E3 and shipping this coming June.
