The cheapest iPhone 14 should be much more expensive than this phone. Cheapest iPhone 14 should be at least $1,300 then, the non pro no real upgrade one.

They might raise prices a bit like they did with the SE but it won’t be 45%, it’d be $50-$100 at most in my opinion.

It is possible with high inflation and prices of everything go up like 30% in a year except salary

high inflation/higher cost of living + salary not keeping up with inflation = less money for luxury goods

With gas prices up 50-100%, if iPhones go up 60+%, I'm gonna skip the iPhone and prioritize putting gas in my car.

Like I mentioned earlier, if Apple increases prices that much for the mainstream model, they're going to hemorrhage sales.

Very unlikely. Inflation was already over 5% back in September when the iPhone 13 launched yet prices were $50 less than the equivalent iPhone 12 models from the year before. Despite increasing inflation, the prices actually dropped.

Salary not increase does not apply to rich people buying Pro IP and not using any case.

Why does a phone need to be expensive? What do you gain if an iPhone becomes more expensive?

In the US, iPhones are relatively affordable for everyone. It’s not just limited to the rich. They’ll likely lose millions of sales if they bump up mainstream pricing to $1300 and top tier to $2000-3000.

No chance regular 14 costing that much.. The Xiaomi phone you're talking about will try to compete with the Apple Pro line of phones

They wish but people just laugh at it, saying who would buy this cheap brand with that much money.

There probably will be an increase in price due to inflation. I reckon it’ll be +5-7% for all phones which I don’t think is enough to stop people from purchasing one, especially if they’re on a plan. The SE3 was $30 more than the previous one so I expect a similar bump up in price for the 14 lineup.

Pro likely but regular models unlikely and why the 14 will use last year's chip

There will literally be no reason to upgrade from the 13 to 14 unless you’re going for a Pro/Pro Max. I would never upgrade after a year anyway and the lack of new silicon on the standard phone will convince me to keep my 12 Mini for another year. I don’t blame Apple anyway as the A14/A15 chips are so powerful that consumers are unable to stress them out as the software has some serious catching up to do with the hardware.

Mind, the A15 is little better than the A14. The biggest improvement with the 13 series is battery. They are powerful though. Likely faster than a lot of Windows laptops currently sold.

Yes, the A15’s main advantage is that it is more efficient than the A14 whilst also providing a little more power. My main point is that the A14 is so powerful right now that there is no software which can challenge it. I am playing Alien Isolation, which is a full blown PS4 game, on my 12 Mini and it runs like a dream. Regular social media apps, web-browsing, video streaming, etc… is a breeze for this chip. Unless you’re running some ridiculous CAD style program on your phone, you won’t need anything more powerful. This is likely why Apple are happy to rehash the A15 in the iPhone 14 regular.

And yes… even the A14, which the M1 is based off of, is more powerful than the majority of mid-range Windows laptops sold.
