I've started transitioning years worth of Yahoo emails into a more private and functional email system. Yahoo mobile has been an under-par app for me with countless issues.
Beside I'm tired of receiving dating adds![]()

Vastly more when it comes to Yahoo! (and perhaps to a somewhat lesser degree but still way more when it comes to AOL).Millions of users? Yes, there might still be 1.1 million people actively using a Blackberry.
ProtonMail is my #1 pick but still in Beta; Hushmail as a close secondwhat is the more private email system you chose?

Why am I too lazy to switch to other email providers!
I definitely do not like Yahoo Mail, but am just stuck with it.
Not really news as they've had many many users and will continue having quite a few (even if less over time). The real news is that there are people who are actually still using Yahoo.
Gmail is simple, secure, and eternal![]()
Research it. It's made by Readle. Very well respected developer. I can say with confidence that it will be around. LolNever heard of Spark. I want to make sure I choose something that will be in business years from now

I sometimes need to go back to things from a year or two ago, usually not much more than that, but once in a while even that. Doesn't hurt to have it all just be stored there. I guess if you run out of space that's different, but I have years worth and it's only taking up a little over 5 GB thus far. That said, to each his/her own of course.Years worth? Wow. I have 30-day rule set on my mail, all sent mail is deleted. Having to manage my email is NOT one of those things I want to have to worry about. Generally, I'll have about 600 messages in all my inboxes for any 30-day period. I figure 30 days is enough for me to need, in case I need to go back and look at something. I know people who have *years* worth, like 30GB worth on Rackspace, etc. Not for me!

Aah. Got it. Sorry.I'll take a look
Looks like Spark is an email app for smartphones.
I need an online email service for my computer. The search continues.....
I am interested in why you consider Hushmail second? I am currently trying to migrate from Gmail but all these services I am afraid might shutdown any minute, and your email account is the place where all your lost passwords get sent to.
My current problem with protonmail is that there is no mobile app(i know one is in the works) and that extension @protonmail.com is kind of long compared to @yahoo and @gmail.
I'll take a look

Hushmail is slightly less secure than ProtonMail but has been around for years. I must admit that PM is more likely to be shut down than HM. PM is very slowly ramping up so in the meantime I have been archiving my Yahoo emails to PDF files and using both PM and HM for daily business. I will soon get to the point where shutting one down will not have a major impact.
