Every year we plan to do things. Perhaps make a promise to our friends to either give up doing something or start a new blah....

So naturally I'm curious what was yours last year, how long it lasted and what did you learn from doing it?

And, being the the start of another prosperous, Do you plan to make another New Year Resolution? If so, would you mind sharing it?

Me..

I wanna shed some weight cause over the last year I've gained a spare! Perhps I'm spending too much time sitting about doing my work and not moving enough? Also, I don't wanna fall foul of the obesity trend that's spreading across the nation. Already many of my friends have fallen into. So.. That's 15Kg to go!!

I also wanna improve my psychological health...

I need to loose some weight (about 20 lbs) so that will be my resolution.
and keep a girl friend for longer than a month

I always have a list of resolutions, most of which never get completed. So my first resolution will be to finish at least one of my resolutions. :p

So far, the list is:

  • Lose a few pounds (I've gotten out of shape... not too much, but my six pack is slowly transforming into a keg)
  • Take up a sport or other physical pastime. I'm thinking about Kung Fu, if only to get the physical stamina.
  • Finish my dissertation and lab experiments I have planned.
  • Graduate from college.
  • Further pursue at least a part-time job in photography.
  • Travel to at least one exotic location. Another trip to Angel Falls is on the short list.

There's a few more, but those are the first that come to mind.

Mine? Gain 2 more pounds and sit at 11 stone. Just in general I'm planning on being very busy this year.

I want to finish hw before 9, stop procrastinating. I have a flat stomach so I want to go to the gym at least 3/4 days a week and train and maybe join track. I also want to finish my website

I would say

1. At some stage get a Mac Pro
2. Lift some weights build the upper body up.
3. By a investment property
4. Learn to Cook and how to iron properly lol

My new years resolution is to get off my butt and go and do some community work with the aboriginals in outback Australia. I will definitely have it done before the year is out :). My binding oath on the internet ;)

I lost 30 lbs in 2008, I plan on losing 30 more.

Pregnancy can be a bugger sometimes....

Wow!! I 'll be happy if I can lose 20 lbs..

Food just taste sooo goood!

go to the gym more; lost 4 kilos of muscle.

also get good marks at uni.

Good Luck!

I don't make New Year's Resolutions, but I formed an amicable agreement with myself a couple months ago to chisel myself up a bit before next summer.

Does that count? Kind of more of a "Mid-08 Resolution"

I don't believe in New Year's resolutions. If I really wanted to change something, I would've done so at the moment I felt like it.

With that said, during summer 2008, I was feeling bored--physically and mentally. So, I read more books than I usually did and started running outside (in comparison to being in a gym setting).

So no resolutions for me, just continued progress.

To spend a little less time on MR.
To spend more time with my family.
To stay in shape physically.
To get in better shape spiritually.
To further my education in web and data base design and programming.
To run an even more prosperous business.

I think that's enough.
