newb with question about burning a dvd

im burning a dvd in toast. i have toast titanium 7 and it is taking way to long to burn. the movie is 2 hours and 37 minutes long, it is 1.60GB and when i burn the dvd in "divx disc" mode it takes forever. it says encoding forever, it is still "encoding" and its been id say about 2.5 hours since it started. is there anyway i can burn this dvd faster, and make it work in any dvd player?

Try DVD-Video mode? that encoding doesn't take too long. But video encoding is generally slow. What speed Mac do you have?
