Newbie here need advice

Hello all

We have been looking for a a computer and our local computer guy has an all in one apple for sale $525. The sticker reads i3 3.1Ghz 8 GB RAM 250 GB HDD Sierra.

We are new to Mac's and not sure if this is a good deal.

We mainly use our home computer for photos and videos (a lot) few games, shopping, Google classroom.

Any advice is appreciated

Sounds like it is a late 2011 21.5" model. I would suggest steering clear of an i3 for video editing. The price is fair, but the next model 2012 comes with an i7 3.1GHz CPU, USB3 and much faster than USB2.

If you intend to buy a Mac, make sure to get one with either a Fusion Drive or an SSD drive. A regular harddrive only means it will be very slow.
