I just bought an Ipod 80 and I am curious as to why on my Itunes library ont he computer it shows that I have used 9.46GB but under settings on my Ipod it shows I have 64.6 GB remaining. I have more music on my Itunes library that I haven't even downloaded yet to my Ipod and it shows more space remaining than what is actually available on my Ipod. What could be causing this?????

Let me explain,

1GB technically=1024mb

Except every hard drive company in the world rounds it to 1gb=1000mb,
so technically your ipod is really 1.92GB less than 80 (24x80)

Also your ipod needs to store its OS which takes up some as well
