I am a long-time Mac user, but complete newbie with HD video, so please bear with me -- I really don't know the first thing.
If I understand correctly, I should be able to burn Blu-Ray discs from 1080 video recorded at 60p using an external Blu-Ray burner. My question is, will this also work if the HD camcorder I use is NTSC but I want to burn a PAL Blu-Ray disc? Is that an issue, or does my editing software take care of conversion? What software will I need to import/edit 1080 60p files (only need basic editing capabilities, nothing fancy -- iMovie, FCE, FCP???), convert to PAL, and burn to Blu-Ray?? Also, I assume a Blu-Ray recorder purchased in the US can record PAL Blu-Ray discs if I properly converted my video files?? Sorry about stupid newbie questions. Thanks.
