How do you interface eSATA to a Mac? This seems to be a knock recently on the newly revised Macs.

You're going to need a tower or laptop w/expansion to do that.

What type of hard drives does the version 3 enclosure handle? Does it handle ATA or SATA?

It also looks like you can't boot off the firewire 800 port? Do Macs support booting off the firewire 800 port?

It supports SATA and it serves as a hub etc...

I got the 500G model but while the fans are quiet, the drive itself (maxtor) is abit noisy...

other than that, its pretty good and does what it says it will do.
