I would never buy a Macbook on Amazon because they are sold by third parties, not Amazon itself. Best Buy and the Apple store are the only two places I trust to deliver a brand new, Apple-warranted, genuine Apple product.

Edit: I stand corrected. This model appears to be sold by Amazon itself. My apologies.

Yeah that's what I thought at first because of the crazy price. Too bad it only lasted about an hour or so.

I picked one up at this price by having Bestbuy price match. Debating on if this will be good enough to get into xcode and ios developing. Any ideas?

You guys think these are fine for Xcode and iOS development?
I don't do either of those. You should make your own thread and ask the question since not all folks will read this one.

Yes, it'll do fine for those activities. It's a lot more powerful than most give it credit for. I write software using Xcode for my iPhone/iPad on it, I also do VM builds and testing for python scripts and other automation tasks with VMware Fusion and Vagrant/Packer. I've had it running 6 VMs at once in a build test and was still able to do other work on it.
