I am trying to get the active mode in kismac to work but am having a hard time. Does anyone know where i can find the chipset of the airport extreme to see if active mode even works with my mbp. I am using osx 10.5.2 and using the mbp that just came out a month ago.
    thanks

Have you checked :apple: -> About This Mac -> More Info -> Airport Card?

Mine shows Wireless Card Firmware Version: Broadcom BCM43xx 1.0. Don't know if that helps.

It's either you have the Atheros AR5008 or the Broadcom.

The Atheros has 3 antennas while the Broadcom as only 2.

For posterity... I checked this and it told me nothing about the chipset. (10.5.7)
