I would say take the screen off and try again from the start. If it still is occurring, you may have gotten a faulty screen.

If you got the screen from a legitimate source, they should take it back and replace it.
 
Tried it again and nothing changed. i tried putting on the old display but now it doesn't work properly either. It's just black now :S now I have no working display!
