News app giving double notifications with 26.5

Anyone else getting duplicate notifications from the Apple News app? This started with the second to last public beta of 26.5 and exists still for me with the RC. It's not for double articles and when you view in the notification center there is just the one. I'm just seeing it animate in, stay on screen for a bit and then reanimate back in. For now I've turned off notifications for the News app.

Can you share a screen capture or screenshot to show us the issue?

I am seeing this too, 16 Pro. No point in screenshot as the two notifications appear sequentially. Happens on all news sources.

Well glad to know I'm not the only one! I already reported to Apple via Feedback Assistant during Public Beta and updated that it was still an issue in RC. I was able to screen record the notification showing twice so lets see if this will post below...

I just updated yesterday and I'm getting notifications twice too. Super annoying.

This is fixed in the public beta of 26.6 so a fix is coming.
