News App won't load at all

I notice this on both my iPad mini 4 and iPhone 6s. News just keeps trying to load but doesn't get past the welcome screen. I've tried toggling News on and off in iCloud, and even logging off and onto iCloud. I've reset both devices, and done soft boots. Nothing is working. Any ideas?

I notice News app will only work on wifi for me. When I'm on cellular, it claimed that the Apple news servers are not responding.

I had the same problem on my iPhone 6+. I assumed it would be fixed when I got the 6s+ but it's still not working. It has to be something with my iCloud or my backup. I really hope they fix this because I really enjoy using the app.

The solution for me was to enable cellular backup in iCloud drive settings but I really hate that for Apple News to work over cellular I need to do this and have no other choice....
