Hi
Ordered one of these to install an SSD to boot the Mac Min 2014 mid level
I'm wondering which would be the best connection ?
TB to FW / TB to USB3/ TB to ESATA.
That's assuming i can find the cables 😉
Thanks
Ian

From what I can see, you do not connect the Ministack to your thunderbolt port at all.

For a 2014 Mini, you would connect to one of the USB3 ports.

USB3-to-USB3.

USB3 and eSATA will be equally fast with a spinning hard drive, probably inconsequential with your SSD, too. USB3 will not require a TB adapter, so that would be the cheapest solution. Of course, it will cost you one USB3 port on your Mini.

Thanks for all the replies
Was hoping to use one of the TB Ports and save a USB Port for something else
But will go for the USB as the Mini Stack comes with the cable supplied
Thanks
