"Carmichael Thoms" "E-Wave Systems in Palo Alto"?

Sorry but this whole thing is BS...

In all seriousness...

Although this story is just nonesense, it really would be cool if Apple made use of their ownership of the NeXT trademark. In fact, the NeXT logo was the last mass-market logo deisnged by famed designer Paul Rand.

Isn't that the statement usually yelled by people foaming at the mouth, as they're dragged past the doors of the insane asylum for their first day of "evaluation"?

I don't want to sound rude or anything, but if you don't provide more info besides a shady article and some pictures which could have easily been photoshopped, then your credibility is going to go down the sh|tter even faster than it already is.

If for some reason that it comes true though, I will gladly take my foot and stick it in my mouth, provided that I coat it with peanut butter first.

I'm so out of it. I am in looooooooove.

I Can Confirm This Post's Veracity.

Without disclosing who I work for, I can say that the postings originated by "crude analogy" are in no way false or misleading: I have viewed secret marketing plans and am aware that the posters "crude" submitted are actual PR drafts, following the "stark" feel of NeXT 2 television ads.

I am closely affiliated with someone who plays a very important role in this new Apple endeavor.

This is so ridiculous. I wasn't going to comment at all in this thread but that last response put me over the edge. Apple bought Steve's NeXT to use it's ultrasuperwindowskillingmodern technology in OS X. It's apple's fav thing to do. See something thats cool and people will like and then buy it. Rendevouz anyone? Yeah hate to break it to everyone but Apple's incrediblely genius engineers didn't make that they bought it.. so moving on... we will never see anything regarding NeXT ever again, besides its evolved brother Mac OS X.. and also, as a designer I know that Apple or any company of that matter would not use or release such "posters" or ads to the public. Those look like something some high schooler did in his computer class. The only way this topic is going to end is if we get off this ridiculous subject.

For instance, "So I hope apple moves over to AMD processors..." MWHAHAHAHHAHA!

nice try guys but we want credible rumors. and the fonts you chose to use in the ads are nasty nasty.

?????????????????????????????????????

you are a dumbarss.

where did this COME FROM?????????????
why would apple make osx and then try to bring back NeXT?

why?

OH YEAH, IF YOU WANT PEOPLE TO BELIEVE YOU, THAN WHY DONT YOU TELL US WHERE YOU GOT YOUR INFO AND ALL OF THOSE CHEAP LOOKING PICTURES??

Anyone notice that both crude and RUNCIBLE 2.0 both are newbies registered in july. hmmm Could they somehow be the same person????hmmmmmm the plot thickens

Actually.. believe it or not.. my drunk uncle works for Apple and he told me this is true. In fact, they will ship with AMD processors and have built in 21" OLED screens, and they will run OPENSTEP.

Not only that, but Photoshop will run 120% faster than it does on a PC. It will also come with a 2-button mouse, with dual scroll wheels, and feature RDRAM as well as DDR ram for ultra-speed. Also, you will be able to boot into OS 9 from OPENSTEP as well as Windows to play the bundled version of Counterstrike.

Also, my drunk uncle from Apple faxed me this authentic poster. It's a rough draft, but it will be out in 2003!

Wow, it's going to run Photoshop SLOWER then the current G4s as tested by Apple?

In Defense of the Absurd.

Remember:

Here's to the CRAZY ones.

The misfits.

The rebels.

The TROUBLEMAKERS.

The round pegs in the square holes.

The ones who see things differently.

They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo.

You can quote them, disagree with them -- glorify or vilify them.

About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.

Because they change things.

They push the human race forward.

And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

BECAUSE THE PEOPLE WHO ARE CRAZY ENOUGH TO THINK THEY CAN CHANGE THE WORLD . . .

ARE THE ONES WHO DO.

Think Different.

APPLE, 1998

I swear to god, those Think Different commericials were so good they made me cry. Like honestly. I really liked them.

And the snail one!

And the tank one...

Now all we have is this switch junk.

I say we just throw a side by side of OS X versus XP for 10 seconds and flash to the ol' Apple logo. I mean... damn, XP is one ugly bastard.
