While there could be more battery power etc stuffed into a chassis with a thinner screen, Apple has made the svelteness of so many products a real selling point, so I would guess that this aspect may well be what Apple would exploit.
 
I know I for one Cant wait, this means instead of a cracked outer layer, it will mean a cracked screen, every time. lol

But seriouslly. Apple has made these things too thin, I have to use a case to make my ipod touch, big enough to hold, and the gorilla in the room issue, battery life. its terrible especially for a "gaming" device. I have been wanting an ipad to try to do art off of, and if My ipod is any indicator, I will be tied to a power cord for the bulk of it.

Thin is cool, but not if you use multicore processors, and ultra high resolution, power vampiring technology in it.

I actually hope the competition gets apple to innovating either in power consumption, or in putting a larger battery in their devices. Thin can go out the door.

personally i have always liked something with a bit of weight in my hands when using it I mean seriously how last do we want to be. a thinner screen would only be a practical reason to do some serious upgrades and addition of new hardware for the users. as i like to say "we will see" after the launch and the official bugs are worked out.

if not then how do I know I have it in my big puffy parka? I don't want to fit a phone in my skinny jeans, that would be too horrible. :p

If it's too portable, I might forget I have it and lose it. :D

If it's too slippery, I might have to put something over it and why bother just make it really, really big, fat and heavy. Then I will be happy. :eek:

"Occasionally reliable", as in being right about as often as you would if you were to completely guess at the answers of a multiple choice test or throw darts at a dartboard while blindfolded, or "occasionally reliable", as in "the chimpanzee had more correct guesses" (or the market analyst, for that matter)?
 
I think right now, we need to see what Apple releases to developers in regards to the "public" iOS 6.0 beta likely due at WWDC. If we get support for 1280x768 in addition to 960x640, 1024x768 and 2048x1536 resolutions, that right there tells me the next iPhone will use a display in the 4.0 to 4.3 inch (diagonal) size.

Japan needs help?, it has to be a joke, ain't it?. The first thing the government did after receiving monetary aid because of the tsunami was to invest in whale industry. Stop killing whales and dolphins..
I think there's other countries need more help than Japan. Japan has got better high-tech? I can agree with that, but saying they need help is almost insulting...
