I'm probably going to take on a fairly large web development effort, and I've managed to get a lot accomplished with iWeb in the past despite the many more robust solutions available.

If a newer iWeb with support for a lot of the newer Internet standards isn't avail le within the next few months I'll be forced to use flagship software from adobe or others.

Anyone have any idea when apple typically updates and releases their iLife suite which includes iWeb?

I guess you're not a "developer" but more of a designer, less of a coder more of an arty type? Exactly what web technologies are missing from iWeb do you need?

Do you realise iWeb is not designed for the professional market, and I would seldom consider this to be the right tool for the job.

You're actually correct and incorrect. I don't lack an ability to code, but given the broad range of tasks I undertake , It's easier, faster, and less complex to go back and make changes to a site with a simple tool.

I'm trying to save myself time and headache, and anyone who's worked extensively with iWeb knows there are a ton of work arounds to achieve implementations that most don't realize can be accomplished. This of course realizing iWeb lacks significantly in trying to optimize a site unless using an additional tool afterwards or cleaning up the code manually.
