Will the next generation of Macbook Air come with Mac OS X Lion? The timing for the refresh may fall right after Lion is released.

    Discuss.

Reports so far is that Lion is already pretty solid.

I Wouldn't be surprised if the final was released at WWDC.

So if I get an MBA now and when Lion comes out..how will I be able to install it since it has no cd-drive?

Also with the Mac OS updates, is it usually an improvement in speed or do you start to need better hardware? (me new to macs :)

That remains to be seen. Either you will be able to download it from the Mac App Store, Apple will ship it on a USB key, or both.

Usually OS X updates speed things up.

All Macs will ship with Lion once it is released. If a new one is out by then, then it will. If the Air comes first, then no.

I would think that the new MPA wont come until October by the earliest thus it should have lion by that time.
