"Next Stop Nowhere," the latest exclusive to hit Apple Arcade, has been released today.

Next Stop Nowhere is a road trip adventure story set in a colorful, cutthroat vision of outer space. The game follows the character of "Beckett," a courier living a simple life until a chance encounter with a former bounty hunter throws him into an unexpected adventure. The game features an "intelligent conversation system" with branching dialogue that changes the story based on every decision, and touts its "completely unique version of space."

The game comes from award-winning studio "Night School Studio," known for the critically-praised titles "Oxenfree" and "Afterparty." Cross-device play is enabled via Apple Arcade.

More games, such as "Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time," "The Last Campfire," and "World's End Club," are expected to come to Apple Arcade soon.

Now would be a good time for Apple to partner with a smaller game studio with a Fornite type game and release it on Apple Arcade with a basic free to play and outfits and dances all openly available for Arcade subscribers.

I just find this announcing every game against Apple Arcade odd?
You're asking if you find it odd? 🤣 I couldn't tell you, but look in the mirror and have a nice chat.

I like seeing anything new Apple-related in MacRumors news; that's one of many reasons to be here.

Apple Arcade reminds me of the NES' Action 52. Just slap a bunch of games together and hope something sticks.

Really? I’m not saying every game in Apple Arcade is a banger, but comparing it to Action 52 is a bit dramatic don’t you think? All of the games in Arcade are from well respected devs who have a history of making great games. The quality of games is also very high in Arcade. Just because you aren’t interested in every single title doesn’t make them anywhere close to the same level of pure garbage that was Action 52.

Arcade is a good idea but in reality, not sure it will work. People have different tastes in games. I’ve tried many highly rated and editor recommended games, but many annoy me with long learning curves, too many unlocks keys, gems, etc or are idle crap and wait.

im Hoping people get subscription fatigue

Arcade exist because people are having "freemium fatigue" if that makes sense. A library of "good enough" games for 4.99$ a month is nothing when you have kids.

OH wow, who needs Xcloud? we got "Next Stop Nowhere". As always, Apple knows what's best for us!
soo on point, I was going to say the same thing but dam someone beat me to it :)

I would so rather have this than streaming Halo :)

Maybe its because the whole MacRumors site design related to Front-page News is challenging to use.

The site even keeps adding multiple EPIC articles to keep it more visible. Its in this manner that every new Apple Arcade game announcement (no reviews from game experts) is another obstacle to seeing what is todays news for Apple fans is the basis of my comment.

Currently you see a endless sequence of news navigated by extended vertical scrolling, where even something that was important today can go quickly enough to older posts. Even the top horizontal scrolling news tops is a bandaid to allowing a user to quickly find the news related to particular area as anything a bit older moves to the far right to be invisible.

Please take this as constructive feedback as the site is hard to use for Front page news. The rest of the site is great, but Front-page News extensive activity is this sites Achilles heel to quickly looking at what's going on apple-wise.

Not saying they're all garbage, but one of the main marketing points of Apple Arcade was something along the lines of "enjoy 100 games". If that's one of their main selling points you know it's not going to be good.

This looks fun but I’m not subscribing to Apple Arcade for it; Even at less than six dollars monthly it’s not worth it for some average at best games.
