Ha I was thinking the same but Zoolander! -
I remember the closest thing to that tiny phone, Motorola's Vader phone V3688. Man I loved that thing, it actually fit inside that little tiny sub-pocket in a jeans pocket.

Is it the marketing department’s fault when Tim and his cohorts at the top make a bad decision? You work with what you have to work with.Think it’s time to fire their marketing dept.![]()
Me thinks this thin air phone will be a two-year stepping stone to a flip.
A flip will give mini lovers a small pocket friendly size and will allow Apple to charge big bucks. Win win.
Two birds, one stone.
My favorite description of the camera bump on iPhone Pro–Three burner stove. If only iPhones were as light and thin as they once were. Still missing my iPhone 6. Or god forbid an iPhone without the increasingly hideous camera hump.
Of course not … because that would be logicalDoes that mean the iPad Air may become the slimmest iPad again?
16 Pro is going up to $1099 this year with 256 GB as minimum storage option, so maybe $1199 next year.Apple does not care if it flops like the mini. This, like the mini, will serve its purpose well which is to soften the blow of a price hike.
Mini bumped up the reg iPhone up a hundred and this will bump up the pros a hundred.
iPhone 17 air $999
iPhone 17 pro $1099
iPhone 17 pro max $1299
I thought the iPhone 17 will get ProMotion based on the rumors. If this iPhone “Air” is positioned above the 17, it will get ProMotion.
While the information you've posted is probably accurate, the point is that Apple has probably spent multi-millions in market research to try and find out, compared to the average MacRumors member that probably didn't even read the article.I mean, do they? Isn't the whole point that the Plus and Mini sold poorly and Apple hasn't been able to come up with a "fourth option" that sells as well as the others? I don't think they'd keep changing what the fourth option was if they considered it a success. Maybe they'll really knock it out of the park this time with the iPhone Air. But so far, they haven't come up with a "killer" fourth iPhone model. I don't think it's unreasonable to be skeptical. Personally, I hope it succeeds, because I'm one of those people who thinks the Pro models have gotten a bit thick and heavy and would like to see them slimmed down. This could be the beginning of that trend.
Go back to mini. It has its fans at least, such as me.From mini to plus to air.
Apple really wants a 4th model to work out, huh?
Unless you are willing to give up your non-apple phone(s) to buy an Apple product, Apple doesn’t care. If you already have any iPhone, Apple doesn’t care.Go back to mini. It has its fans at least, such as me.

You realize that this rumored iPhone 17 Air/Slim is taller and wider than a standard iPhone 15?Since the consensus seems to be noone wants it, I'll be the outlier: I will likely hold on to my 13 Mini until I can get this. I don't need the "Pro" features, and I very rarely take pictures with the secondary lens, so one lens is fine. But a standard 15 is very large to me. Battery life on my Mini is not great but "good enough". If this has ProMotion as rumoured, and battery life at least matching the 13 mini, it would be the perfect phone for me. Even without ProMotion, I'd probably still get it.
