It did get another update in 4.4.2.

4.4.2 is essentially the same as 4.4.1, it was only a couple days later and many users didn't even get .1 before .2 came out. Looks like there was probably some sort of issue with .1 they needed to fix.

So there still has only been one camera update, I hope they're still working on it and release another.

This. It was the same thing and most never received 4.4.1 b.c of some unknown bug.

I've been using my Nexus 5 for about two months now, after coming from an iPhone 4. Night and day difference there, and I certainly like it better than my girlfriend's iPhone 5. Initially I had some screen glitching during the first two days I was using it, and now it's non-existent. I've taken quite a few photos, but haven't loaded any on the computer to see how the quality is (should look now). Snappy phone too, everything runs so quickly.

Nexus 5's great operation on Wireless Charger

My friend told me this great function, I'm gonna get it and have a try but not sure about the time it will need, cause I always drive, maybe for car use one ?:)

I had an iPhone 5S since launch day. Wanted to try Android out so bought a Nexus 5 a month ago. I sold my 5S yesterday.

The only thing I miss is the camera, but everything else is so much better that I can't really compare. Just the productivity improvements (quick example, uploading to dropbox WHATEVER I want from wherever from my phone...) really make a difference.

Love the Nexus, and love Android. I even managed to put it into my Apple ecosystem almost completely. The iPhone 6 will have to be SO MUCH better to make me go back.

What about the battery?

Most users only upload videos/pictures to dropbox. Is there any other feature the Nexus has to convince me to leave my iphone 5S? I hear about inconsistent battery life and shotty camera pictures (different users have different experiences).

IMO the nexus 5 seems like the best android device out there, especially for the price.

Good to hear a story that is completely opposite to mine. I have a 5S, bought a Nexus 5. My nexus 5 now is covered by dust. I keep it as a backup phone.

Most users only upload video and pictures to Dropbox is like saying you only store bids and pics on your computers hard drive.

And the only features the Nexus 5 has that would convince you to drop the iPhone would be a larger screen, ability to use a file system, customization of your phones UI and NFC features like Google Wallet tap and pay or easy data transfers. If these features are not compelling, then there is no reason to dump your iPhone.

Last, Nexus 5 and the Moto X are the best Android phones for the price IMO.

Im not a power user but find that the battery on my Nexus 5 is fine, but TBH, I don't see what the fuss is about, I have a charger in my house, at my office and in my car, in this day and age one is never that far away from some sort of power, seems to me that some people are just paranoid.

Nexus 5

I have both the iPhone 5s and the Nexus 5. In my experience the Nexus has better battery life. My iPhone 5s needs the mophie battery case to make it through the day.

Depending on your needs, the Android intent system too. The Android intent system makes it very easy to share data between applications.

I have the Nexus 5 and my wife has the iPhone 5S. The iPhone probably lasts twice as long as my Nexus unfortunately. Standby time is similar but as soon as we start using our phones, my battery drops significantly faster. They're really not even comparable.

My fiance has an iPhone 5 and her phone typically lasts longer. During use, her iPhone definitely last longer. With idle use, they are pretty similar, but that is only because I have Franco kernel installed. Without it, my Nexus 5 has awful standby time.

Just ordered a N5. Can I simply pop in my SIM when it arrives? No need to call AT&T? Also is there a way to get all my current apps and Gmail accounts onto my N5 without having to do it one by one? Thanks.

From my experience, make sure you're connected to Wifi and just login to your gmail account when prompted. As long as you're connected to your wifi, all your apps will download and everything will sync.

So I still need to download each app right? After I log into Google Play it only shows me my purchase history. Still need to tap each one I want on my new phone.

You now have me questioning myself on new devices.. It should automatically download all your apps but maybe others can chime in and confirm.

Normally it should auto download the last apps you had on your device, unless of course you never had back up turned on on your older device.

Otherwise it should auto download the last set of apps installed on your device as soon as you sign into your account on initial set up.

You may after the event however have to click on download / update on some apps that are not set to auto update.

I'm confused. This doesn't sound right. If I log into Google Play on my Nexus 5 it will download the apps I have downloaded and am using now on the First?

If you have the 'Backup my data' option checked, it should -- though it is half baked and doesn't always work.

When you're signing into your Google account on the N5, you should see an option that says 'automatically restore my data' or something similarly worded. Just make sure you check that and connect to WiFi during the setup.

You could also backup your apps/data to your computer (or even Google drive) with something like Helium to be on the safe side.
