iPhone X NFC chip repair?

My iPhone X NFC chip does not work. Software test is good, so it is a hardware issue. I have AppleCare and an appt today... Can Apple repair the NFC chip without having to replace the whole phone?

Apple doesn't do chip-level repairs. If the phone needs service, it will be replaced.
