I bought a used S6 Active off Craigslist awhile back for my wife, I pair either 180 or 200 I can't remember which. The battery started dying fast and it was acting up so I requested a repair and it was still under warranty. Samsung has had its few weeks and they kept telling me they couldn't get a part and they were waiting. I get a call and they tell me they will not be able to get the part and will be sending me a check for $594.99!

I am really surprised they would do this, I would figure they would have just sent me a replacement t S6 Active.

And then you woke up? :p

That's really awesome, though. Hopefully you actually get it without having to call CS multiple times.

Wish they would do that for my S7 situation. They just said "thanks for your reply" and never got back to me :(.

Great result :)
The whole finally approval has me worried though, I hope that is just a formality and I will indeed get it. They called me after all and told me, hope so anyway

It at least sounds very promising which is very optimistic. Let us know of the final outcome. We will keep fingers and toes crossed for you :)

Might be a case of that after the Note 7 PR disaster they are on a charm offensive.

There is a twist in the repair! A couple days ago I get another email, it looks like they are shipping me a phone and should be here today. Not sure why they said the camera wasnt focusing, it was working fine

So, a check and a new phone or no more check ?

Both would be super-uber-nice!! :D

I would've preferred the check ;)

I prefer the check as well, not sure what the deal is.

Delete the picture with the transaction number, i used to work for samsung and anybody can claim that phone with the number, its like a case ID but i always wondered why they call it a transaction number even for stuff note related to repairs etc.
