I’m Aaron. I created a game that uses Apple TV’s Continuity Camera functionality in a new way. This is Nice Jump.

The game melds physical movement with virtual play. Your hand reaches for a flying strawberry and — SQUISH! — you push it aside. Move your body — while jumping — to nudge objects across the screen. The more you jump, the more points you earn.

Nice Jump is new on the App Store (and only for Apple TV).

The action is fast and the tech is familiar. If you’ve tried FaceTime for Apple TV, you’ll recognize the quick Continuity Camera connection. An iPhone or iPad pairs seamlessly as a camera. You appear on the biggest screen in your home. Nice Jump follows every body movement. Math and physics silently drive the experience. Great music picks up the pace.

Is it exercise hidden within a video game? Perhaps. But it’s also a lot of fun.

Nice Jump is nice. No data is captured. No ads are displayed. It’s a pleasant game for families, parties, rainy days, and moments when you just need to move.

Please give it a play. Open the App Store on your TV and search “Nice Jump”. You can try it for free.

Worth noting: Nice Jump requires Apple TV 4K (2nd Generation) or later. Earlier models don't support camera connections.

I’m a solo developer — and always happy to hear feedback. Reply here. Reach out. You can learn more about the game and its development on my website: https://nicegoodclever.com/nicejump/

Jump around! Show your kids! And please do let me know if you enjoy Nice Jump.
