You’ve only Niki Minaj’s word to go on. The world is screwed up because ppl only listen to one biased side of a story and accept it as truth.
Did you not see the quotes from the NYT and Bloomberg? That's beyond just her word on the issue. Whether she's right or not, the story doesn't just rely on her word. The world is screwed up for a lot reasons. One of which is a propensity for selectively parsing for agreeable ideology and quoting absent context.

Bloomberg also reported that Apple Music exclusives may be "buried" in Spotify search results

One assumes that Apple Music exclusives would be completely missing from Spotify search results, since that's what an "exclusive" is.

Earlier this month, hip-hop artist Nicki Minaj debuted her latest album "Queen" on her new Beats 1 radio show "Queen Radio," just minutes before its wider release. And, by the sounds of it, that didn't make Spotify very happy.

In a series of tweets on Sunday, highlighted by Digital Music News, Minaj said Spotify retaliated by electing not to promote the album on its platform during its first few days of availability, as it had promised. Meanwhile, she said Drake, who has had a Beats 1 show since 2015, is highly promoted on Spotify.

Minaj said she "can't wait" for the next episode of Queen Radio this Tuesday, presumably to speak further about Spotify's alleged retaliation.

A few years ago, The New York Times reported that Spotify instituted a policy where music that has benefitted from promotional deals on other platforms may not be prominently featured or included in as many playlists on its service.Bloomberg also reported that Apple Music exclusives may be "buried" in Spotify search results, which Spotify said was "unequivocally false."

Several artists have debuted albums exclusively on Apple Music, at least for a brief period, including Drake, Frank Ocean, Dreezy, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, and Chance the Rapper, and it would appear that Spotify isn't pleased, as streaming platforms, record labels, and artists fight over rights in an evolving industry.

Spotify has yet to comment on the matter.

FOR Christ sakes!

Why ... WHY is the media still perpetrating this garbage!

Nicki Minaj's tweet or commentary of THE late GREAT Aretha Franklin shows just how out of touch and immature she really is! This girls - yes I'm aware of her age, but she acts like a child - acts like a self centred privilege or gold digging whiny argh. Phew ... yes I'm breathing.

ALL this drama ... is there ANY of these new generation singers/rappers etc ACTUALLY BUILD their fame based on the merit of their TALENTS and endeavours to better their community vs the majority of their acts and fame and fortune based on DRAMA!!!

I get enough drama from TV News .. why do I need to hear about Nicki Minaj?!

Uhhh, The NYT quote that was from a few years ago and was NOT in reference to Nicki Manaj in any way??? That quote? Or the Bloomberg story that Spotify came out and said was unequivocally false? So we have two reports. One Spotify denies is true and the other story was not specifically about Nicki Manaj and is two years old, yet she is riding its coat tails. So, I saw the quotes and it seems that yes, all we have is her word.
And if that's still not enough, I also saw where other artists, namely Drake, have released exclusives with Apple and also have shows on Beats radio. Also a Apple exclusive, yet they are just as highly promoted on Spotify. Their exclusives have not affected their promotion on Spotify whatsoever. This is pointed out by Minaj as I don't know what, as it disproves her whole point.

She doesn’t have any talents, unless they include putting on a terrible British accent and gyrating around in your underwear.

She’s just salty because for some reason she thinks she’s entitled to the number one album and is making excuses for why she didn’t get it, making out she’s been cheated.

I mean just accept it and move on it. Instead of acting disgracefully.

Spotify have responded to her claims

In a statement shared by Hits Daily Double, a rep for the company countered with:

Spotify supported Nicki Minaj with a Times Square billboard, a host of the largest playlists, New Music Friday and the new music release shelf. Her song “Bed” actually saw an increase based on the promotions put behind the campaign. The company continues to be big fans of Nicki.”

This is why I dislike streaming music services... These stupid exclusives?

I dunno, is it just me, but do they think that people pay for two separate monthly subscriptions?

I don't subscribe to either, but if I did, it would be one or the other, certainly not both so I can hear exclusives.

And for what it's worth, I would probably subscribe to Spotify because it's not locked to the Apple platform.

The exclusives are usually only for a few days anyway.

Here she goes again.

Sour grapes

“Travis Scott is out here selling f*cking clothes, and he got y’all thinking he’s selling f*cking music. Sit your stupid ass down!

When [he] realized that Queen was about to [be] the Number One album in America, he and his label decided to have Kylie and baby Stormi put up a tour pass … He had her post and say, ‘Hey, me and Stormi can’t wait to see y’all.’ How are you selling something that does not have anything to do with your album but it is being counted on Billboard as album sales?

What we’re not gonna do is have this f*cking autotune man come up in here selling ****ing sweaters and telling y’all he sold half a million ****ing albums, ’cause he didn’t.”

I listened to her music when she first debuted. Over the last 3 years I stopped listening to her music and haven’t even listened to her latest album and don’t have any intentions to. Her thing is she want to be only female rapper with no competition, which just isn’t going to happen.
